Yeah I take everything they say with a grain of salt...but I still think we'd have trouble finding something as competitive as they say they're offering. I did the same thing with my guy, I gave him the pricing sheet and order codes all highlighted haha But that would be an awesome homecoming for you fa show! Stay safe brotha
Military Auto Sales has a guaranteed lowest price. If you find a lower price, then get it in writing and they will beat it by $500.
That funny when I talked to them it was that they always get it after dealers in the states because they want to help them be more competive. I spoke with their marketing manager last week and they told me expect it to open up around September. Only good news was that they have no intentions of doing the raffle bs like they did with the gt350.
My guy never mentioned a raffle, but he suggested I put a $500 deposit down to secure an "allocation". I did about a month ago and they put it in the system as a Lariat, which they told me would never get built and they would change the order to the Raptor when it was available to them. Well, 2 days ago I got an email saying my Lariat was being built and a link to track the progress. I'm just worried that everyone that ordered in the states will get their built before mine and I will come home and have to wait a few months.
So, when I reserved my allocation, they ordered a 2017 Lariat for me as a placeholder. I just got an email today saying the expected delivery date of the Lariat is 27 January 2017. If we are still unable to order the Raptor, when the hell will that delivery date be?...March, April? I really didn't want to be without a vehicle for 5 or 6 months after I redeploy.
That's great news! September. I wonder what they are going to say come September. I don't think its the agents' fault here in country, but more toward their liaison for Ford. (I think) they are trying to see where the market sits, and then start selling. If you ask me, its a smart move. Then again, I did recommend that we keep waterboarding as mean of winning hearts and mind but that didn't go so well either. So I could be wrong.. Brownbag72, I don't think they build trucks your size and if they do its probably a flat bed so you can stretch your legs...(count it!)
You figure ford is suppose to begin scheduling builds late August my guess is that because they have to guarantee their deliver dates they won't let folks make purchases until the pressure is put on ford for scheduling. I imagine that we will be able to order the last week of August or so.
Hope you're right. This bucket is about full and this brown towel is looking for a face to say hello to. Either way, I am good with the wait as long as we get a decent-great deal with a decent date.
