Do you know what the build date was on your truck? Ford made a change from the plastic oil pan back to a metal one halfway through the 2018 builds. This was because the plastic oil pan was cracking and leaking.
With your 2018, make sure you listen to it as start. If you hear 1-2 second rattle, your cam phasers and are broken. With your truck being a 2018, it has the older style cam phasers. Ford redesigned them a third time (CD part number) so we will see if they last.

Beadlock rims purchased8a.jpg Thank you, I am keeping the K02s for now, mounted in the standard position for now (as opposed to the true beadlock position) until I get some more use out of them. Seriously considering some Mickey Thompson tires when the time comes. Here are the wheels, I have not installed the rings or center caps yet.

The truck only has 12,000 miles on it, no cam phaser issues yet. I am sure it will happen eventually. I think it was built in March of 2018. I will have to take a look at the oil pan.

Based on that date, I think you have the plastic oil pan that ford phased out due to durability issues. The swap to the current metal pan is a monumental task, and ford won't even do it for warranty.
Your build date indicates you have the older cam phasers which we already know have a high failure rate. When (not if) they fail, you will have to make sure you get the latest parts installed. Currently, the part number is a "CD". This is has been an issue on 3.5 ecoboost engines since launch in 2010. Ford can't get it right after many design changes. Just make sure you always listen for cold start rattle. Don't let it go, or else you risk getting the engine out of time. Nobody has made a lockout kit for these, but that would be the only true solution.
If you have questions on these, find Ryan at RMB Performance. They have the complete understanding of this system.
