I need a little guidance - bought my '17 SCREW back in early Feb. of this year (from a Hyundai dealership). Had an inspection done by a 3rd party company and everything ... all checked out. Before I picked it up, the dealership went out of their way to try and replace a broken/missing aftermarket fog in the bumper (to their credit ... and it was in the inspection report). In fact, it was on the lift in the shop when I got there. Long story, short - I wound up taking the lights they bought in a box plus a couple hundred bucks as an apology for the delay, and had them just button it up because it was taking too long.

Fast forward a week and I'm under the truck and notice the entire front skid plate assembly is gone. Was there in all the photos and on the inspection report. Service tech was in a hurry and left it all on the shop floor when they pulled it out for me to drive. Contact the sales guy and get a call from the GM of the dealership - they're gonna send the parts my way. FF again - they only sent me the larger plate and handful of bolts - missing all the other parts (including the support at the rear of the big plate). Talk w/ the GM again - he commits to "making it right..." and says if they can't find the missing parts, they'll order it all for me, new.

And then pandemic. Being in the TV ad biz - I know dealerships are hemorrhaging during the quarantine. I decide the only chance I got at ever seeing these parts is letting them get back on their feet before I call back again and shake the tree.

And we're present... my question/suggestion request is this. If I don't get the needed parts to re-install stock plates. Anyone like any aftermarket plate kits? Is it just worth it to find my missing parts and buy those? Anyone selling stock parts?

Sorry - long story. Thanks for any insight you can offer.

Hey jason, I’ll keep an eye out, I haven’t seen any sort of aftermarket skid plate kit. One of my coworkers just got a badass aftermarket TRD skid plate for his TRD tundra pro. My only concern is the intercooler and turbos being exposed to the elements with the skid plate missing

Thanks - I started in on the old dealership again. Sounds like they bit the bullet and ordered up the $1500 some-odd worth of OE parts (finally). I've seen some aftermarket kits, RCI makes one, but I think they're more designed for lower-trim F150s and not any better than stock. We'll see what shows up in the next week or so.

Yeah - got busy last couple of weeks w/ trips and such. So dealer came through w/ the parts - everything I needed to get it buttoned back up. Without a shop manual, it was a little less-intuitive to put back together that I would have thought, but got it worked out. I only came up short a couple of those one-use clips for the panel below the transfer case (couple of bucks at the local dealer).

Good to go now - actually taking a trail run here w/ a GA Raptor group this weekend (first time doing any real off parking lot crawling) so gotta see if I the plates hold up.
