    Hi all
I live in Myanmar, where roads are few and most in a terrible condition. Daily drive more like offroading. Country 2.5 times bigger than Great Britain and travelling 100 miles by road can take you half a day in some areas.
My cars kept breaking down and I finally decided to get a 2019 Ford Raptor in Ford Performance Blue. Only had this and black cor as a choice, since already ordered by Ford Myanmar and could be delivered with a couple of months. Cars not cheap here in Myanmar (Burma) and Raptor short version is 90.000 USD and the full two door 145.000 USD, so got the "cheap" one, two months ago.

I am now in a hospital for check up after a major crash and the Raptor saved my life. Rock solid built and meeting a truck a night coming in my lane, all my business partner who was driving at the time, could do, was to go off the road to avoid a head on collision. After bursting through some jungle vegetation, it fllew 30 feet a cross a dry river, hitting the rocks on the other side and dropped 15-20 feet down onto the rocky riverbed. All airbags in the car released and after the smoke from all the airbags had cleared, we discovered that we were still in one piece. Kind of. Still sore muscles and black stripes across the stomach from the seat belts appeared a day later, sore muscles and unfortunately my college got a broken arm and are now doing surgery with steel plate and screws.
But amazing outcome. If this has been in a Japanese tin can, I don't think we would had been alive. The police were surprised, since accidents had happened at the same place before, with fatal outcome in all cases. We went from 50-55 mph in a second and still alive.

So, now it looks like I have the pleasure of getting a new 2020 Raptor, since my new 2019 is most likely a write off and luckily fully insured. Thanks Ford for building such a sturdy car and there are no other options for me. New one has to a Raptor.

Wurth this said, I was kind of unlucky with the 2019 model. Looks like it was a lemon or what you call it over there.
When I picked it up at the dealership, I did not even make it home before the dashboard gauges went black and started flashing on and off.
They did not find out why and it also froze up with no needles moving, got garbled/pixeled and could do this 10-15 times in a day.
Also radio/stereo blacking out and could be out for days.
Then after a good week of driving and about 3000 miles, the low oil pressure message came on and car stopped. Checked the oil and nothing on the stick. Had to fill 4.5 quarts. Unfortunately high up in the mountains and took a day to get the right kind of oil brought up.
Then a week later, when measuring, average oil consumption was about 1.5 - 1.8 quarts per 1000 miles. That's a lot and local dealer did not have a solution, since no TSB. Some talk about a valve cover, but they told me to drive it fir 10.000 miles, check oil frequently and see if things got better.

I had installed Ford Pass on my phone and also got messages saying that the restraints control system had a fault related to airbags and safety belt tensioner. So, when flying through the air, seeing the rocks in front of me, this message was flashing by in my head. Would the airbags work? Which I now know they did.
Also got EPS (Electronic Power Steering) failure alarms and had to stop the car, wait 10 seconds before starting again.

Apart from all the issues and errors, I love my Raptor. Amazing drive and tackles the roads and terrain in Myanmar amazingly well and is of course a real head turner, since not many in the country. I guess I just got a bad one out if all the good ones and hope that my new 2020, which will take 4-5 months to get here will be fault free.

But, now I have time to choose more options and maybe another color. My 2019 had the 802A package, but now consider sunroof, since love the lights coming in., making the cabin brighter. And possibly the tech pack due to adaptive cruise control, tonneau cover since monsoon season long and very wet and end up having a swimming pool at the back, depending on what angle the car is parked. Also don't like the original wheels or the beadlock ones, so hopefully more options from factory, so don't have to spend money on an extra set.

So, there we are... Two intensive months with the 2019 Raptor, good and bad things, but it doesn't matter. Driving my Raptor puts a smile on my face and when the roads gets tough, it reveals it true potential.

Wow, that's quite a story, especially seeing the pictures and how bad it was. Glad you are still here to tell it! Good luck to both of you for a speedy recovery!

Thanks. We will be fine, thanks to the strength of the Raptor. I had expected much bigger damages to car and us.
Diving a big heavy car propped with airbags is obviously a life saver.
