Hit the paddle shifters and they gears will reappear. left turns them off right locks the gears one at a time

The plus/minus buttons on the gear selector will help you turn it on/off. Hitting the plus button will activate and deactivate.

Just make sure you are in drive - on the floor shifter, push the "+" button (toggles on/off)

i'm having the same issue with my 2020, where the gear indicator just shows up sometimes and other times it doesn't I understand how to turn it on and off, but without input from the driver, why would it turn on and off randomly, I.e. in normal driving mode?

On your shifter in the center console - the button on the side will turn he indication on and off - drove me nuts trying to figure out why it was sometimes there sometimes not - the button gets knocked in some way and then they appear/disappear :)
I cant remember if you have to be in drive or not - play with it and it will be immediately obvious.

Sounds like there are other ways to do it too...from the posts above.

If I'm not mistaken, accidently bumping the Paddle shifters will do the same thing.
