Fumoto Oil Drain Valve

After the first oil change on my '19 Raptor, I am looking for a way to get the oil out without getting it everywhere!

Given the rather small access panel in the Skid Plate, I've been looking at the Fumoto Drain Valve as a possible option.

Looking for something where you can attach a hose and drain into a container rather that get oil all over the skid plate or without removing the entire skid plate to change the oil.

Is there anyone out there with experience and or feedback on the Fumotos or any other similar drain valve / system?

I just did my first oil change with my Fumoto. Neat and clean but drains really slow. Took a good 20 minutes to drain. Turned a one beer job into a two beer job.

 

Which valve do you have?

I'm looking at the Ronin Factory oil drain plug. If you have the plastic plug this replaces that one and has a valve. Kind of pricey but it gets good reviews.

 

I've got the metal Oil Pan and went with the Fumoto F107N. Easy installation and looks like it will make Oil Changes much cleaner and easier. May take a little longer to drain, but I'm OK with that. Will see how it works in 5000 miles.

 

So can I expect the first oil change to be a major mess? I will have to get a valve for sure.

 

Unless you drop the entire Skid Plate, which is not that big of a deal, it will definitely make a mess!

I see everyone likes Fumoto drain valves. And I guess it eliminates the mess. But what about the filter ? Will that make a mess also ?

Just serviced my truck for the first time since installing the Fumoto Drain Valve.
Took more time to remove front access panel and Skid Plate Access cover than to do the oil change.
The Fumoto Valve definitely drains slower than removing the plug, but its not a problem.
Set up a jug under the truck, connected a clear drain hose to the valve and started draining.
While draining the pan, I removed and replaced the filter. Once this was done, the pan was finished draining.
Refilled with oil, started engine and checked for leaks.
No spillage, no oil on the underside of the truck, pretty much spotless change.
I'm definitely pleased!
