Honestly, you're going to get all different kinds of opinions. I will tell you that I just completed my first oil change just under 1,000 miles. It was probably a big waste of time and money, but that's my standard procedure. The Raptor doesn't use a special break in oil. So with that being said, you can change it whenever you want. Just know that it's true what guys say about this truck being a pain in the ass to change the oil.

Whenever you change it is fine. But go check it now. Mine was about two quarts low at ~6k miles...my fault for not checking, accepted...but seriously WTF?!

I’m happy to report that the oil change was quite easy and best of all I have a metal engine oil pan and not a plastic one.

Changed mine the first time at 2,500 miles. Will do it again at 5,000 and then every 5,000 thereafter using Full Synthetic Oil. Live in Florida where it gets really hot and stays dusty most of the year. Have practiced this routine for years and had no engine issues at all.

Did it on my '13 SCrew Ecoboost and it currently has over 125,000 and is just as quiet as my new Raptor. Always use a Motorcraft Filter. Reason being, had a 1997 F-150 and used another brand which resulted in a cold start knock. Went back to a Motorcraft Filter and it cured the issue. Probably due to the check valve.

There are lots of opinions and procedures out there. This is just my experience.

1200 for me as well. Then again at 5K to switch to full syn and add an oil separator. Now I’m good for 5K intervals.
