perhaps some of these issues could be related to the operator or poor maintanance. I mean once it gets to Ford and put on the computer that would surely tell the story of whats happening as far as use, misuse, or abuse is concerned and I don't think, wait; I know I haven's seen any complainers posting what the tech(s) report downloaded.
    Maybe they'll enlighten us.

I have an 18 Raptor (15k miles) and a 14 Explorer Sport (123k Miles), both with the 3.5 Ecoboost and have had no serious problems.

Seems to be a good engine.

But like any car today both are loaded with electronics that could fail.

Personally, I solved that with the 125k Ford Warranty for both.

I also haven’t done any modifications that might affect the Warranty and even had my off-road and bed lights installed by the dealer.

Looks like the cam phaser failure poll is at 25% failure for this engine. That failure rate is unacceptable.

Sorry Mr. bravo but if you want people to believe your stats then you should always include sources. Remember opinions are like assholes and elbows, everybodys got em.
Since you obviously believe what you say, and you've got it in your mind you're going to pay back Ford by discouraging ecoboost owners then you're probably on the wrong forum yapping to people who're happy with the truck they've already bought. I doubt any of us will be taking them back due to your posts.
After I checked the ecoboost forum it seems there are only 2 posts on the entire site about cam phaser failure.
Maybe you should find the potential Ford Raptor Owner forum and see how many hearts and minds you can win there.
FYI Facts backed by sources go along way in making your case and adding to your credibility.

Amen to that brother..... This guy is painful. I dont even read what he writes - Its like one of those Ads that pops up every few posts - just skip right over it. 25k miles - no oil issues / engine issues at all. Love my truck.

You have not seen the poll on the Ford raptor forum? It's at 25% failure reporting for cam phasers.
I am surprised this is acceptable to any of you. I am not saying any other Ford engine is better as they all have problems. But, this ecoboost has a few large reliability problems.

You do realize that forum is more active than this one, right? The gen 2 area has many problem reports of cam phasers.
Research for yourself - the ecoboost has a bad track record with cam phasers. The parts have been revised a few times with no success. There are even aftermarket companies... Look at rmb Ryan on frf... That are working on developments for a fix. They have not had success either.

Post the link or something credible to back it otherwise you look like a rambling idiot in case you're not catching the hint from the responses. Your word alone is not gospel
