Does anyone suggest a upgrade in battery if doing mods for light bars etc? Considering a Optima yellow in the future if one is compatible for the raptor. Thanks for the advice!

I’ve been using the X2Power AGM batteries from Batteries Plus in all of my vehicles. It’s the best AGM that I have found.

The specs are about the same as the Odyssey posted above. Both are “true lead” batteries. The difference is that if you have an issue, Batteries Plus likely has a replacement battery in stock.

I was told that the X2Power batteries are made by Northstar, so the quality is there.

Ask for the 10% online discount, and the $20 mail in rebate. This gets the battery down from $410 to $350.

I suggest that you use what you have until you want to add lots of electronics. Then put in a second AGM battery and a solid state battery isolator to charge it from you alternator. Then you can have a true deep cycle battery for the electronics, instead of a dual purpose battery.

I’ve done this in my Raptor and in my ‘93 F250...works great.

Here’s a link to the battery isolator that I use:

If you have question feel free to ask.

    Best.
