Currently building out a recovery kit for the truck. And while looking at all the working load limits of straps, breaking points, etc... I started to wonder: ...

Assuming safe and smart usage, are the 4 tow hooks on the raptor rated for dynamic recovery situations? Specifically with snatch straps where forces might be higher. Or are they mainly for light towing/winching?

I can't find official documentation. But the little info I have found is questionable and inconsistent. I'd hate to have a tow hook break off and go flying during a recovery situation. But I'd also prefer to avoid hitch specific and/or force distributing solutions if I don't absolutely need them, at least at first.

Still new-ish to the truck and very new to off-roading. So any info and tips is much appreciated.

Also, sorry if this isn't the best spot for this question. I couldn't find an "off-roading" related page here. Please point me in the right direction if there's a better place for this.

Definitely can be used for recovery, not sure of the details on how much force or what the best setup is but I have seen a couple of recoveries in the past yr or so and those tow hooks do just fine.
