Why do you guys think there are so may 2019s left?

My deal is willing to order me a 2020 when they open the ordering for Invoice price (plus alittle extra off, some kind of hold back). Seems I can order a 2020 for less than I can buy a 2019.

Just wondering why the sales have slowed down so much

    Mike

I think buyers have researched it enough to understand that the current engine is not a good thing - reliability, longevity, etc. The market is speaking, and waiting for the 5.2sc.

I think it is because there are dealers out there still asking 10k over.

Doubt it. Nobody wants the ecoboost after they do their research. Why spend hard-earned money on something that risky?

I personally own the Generation 2, Bought a 2019 this year. It's a great Truck, the whole ecoboost failure thing is utter crap. I suppose in 2017 yes they may have had a few issues. All you are going to see on forum is people posting with problems, what about the all the trucks running perfectly like mine?

The reason the inventory is higher this year is two sided. First, Ford increased allocation to dealers in 2019, so the dealers went crazy and ordered all they could. Second, I agree with the other comments that the market is somewhat saturated. It's my opinion the best thing ford could do is to limit prodcution of the raptor trucks, this will keep price integrity.

FYI - I purchased a 74430 MSRP for 68000 + tax = >10% Discount. If you buy a raptor for MSRP or anything over, you are paying too much atleast for a 2019. I have many dealers offered me 2020 orders for 3K off MSRP without even asking for a discount.

Overall the truck is very well put together, no rattles or squeaks. I have had it in the air a few times and it lands really nicely. I will tell you that the tech in great for driving and lane keep works great! However carplay and the nav sync stuff is a bit laggy and could benefit from a performance improvement for sure.

Please ignore our resident troll bravo3 as he has been spewing venom regarding the eco boast motor since he hatched here on the forum. he doesn't own a raptor and I feel he may in fact live in his mothers basement and take public transportation to his weekly counselling secessions.
PS. Do not feed the troll

I have had several 3.5 ecoboost, plus raptors. The ecoboost cam phaser issue is an epidemic plaguing all years and versions. Have you seen the record number of cam phaser failure posts? Cam phaser failure polls? Affects all years. The engine is a half baked design fail.

once again mr positive strikes again. If you don not like the motor (which you have stated several times) why the hell are you here? Just to say the eco motor sucks over and over again? your view point and opinion has been made. Now what?

I've only put 150,000 miles or so on 3.5 EcoBoost motors, 2 explorer's and 2 F150s (1 is the Raptor). No issues with the motors with any of the . Just sayin!

The cam phaser failure (cold start rattle) is a huge issue for this 3.5 ecoboost.

My last truck was a 2012 FX4 with the ecoboost. 148,000 miles before I traded on a Raptor. Zero problems. over 2000 miles a year pulling boats, 3000 miles a year pulling a 16 x 8 trailer. Mix of highway, city and country driving. I would never hesitate owning or recommending an Ecoboost motor

I have an '18 with everything. Love it. Engine is great. Best word to describe the truck is "effortless".
