Has anyone filed a claim under this act with ford? I’m the second owner of an 18’ and it has had several issues. One of which still has the truck at the dealer, 35 days straight and counting. I tried a ford buy-back but I didn’t qualify under colorado lemon law. Anyone know my rights under this law or has gone through the process? Thanks.

So the truck has aftermarket parts and Ford won't warranty it?

The law pertains to your rights if a manufacturer tries denying warranty due to aftermarket parts.

I bet you are in for cam phaser work. Best advice is to get the dealer fix, then unload the truck. Keep in mind that the 3.5 ecoboost has pretty common problems and thus why sales have dropped. Buyers are researching and they are finding that these have reliability and durability problems. Go buy something different while you can.

what would you suggest that they purchase instead of a raptor? What do you drive?

I would recommend a Dodge truck for now. Or, get a leftover 19 f250/350 diesel.

Nope. Not after market parts. They will warranty the vehicle but the dealer can not find the issue. Getting a rattling noise when hitting bumps. Only happens in 2wd, mostly goes away in 4wd. Not IWE check valve. They literally cannot figure it out. They even have a ford engineer look at it. Anyway, I believe the Mag-moss act goes into affect when your vehicle is in the shop for 30+ days. Looking for info from someone who has info on this Act/law.

Take another look. Magnuson Moss act is ONLY related to protecting the consumer from a manufacturer denied warranty due to aftermarket parts.

What you are truly needing to understand is LEMON LAW. That is what takes affect after X days in shop.

I did the buy back after a year and a half. You can request a good faith from them later if issues not resolved. And btw bravo, I got another raptor and it's perfect.

Sorry, should add an important piece of info. If possible, don't accept the issues and just be angry. I got to a point where I decided I would put that warranty truck in the shop every few weeks until they solve the issue or accepted the buyback. Inconvenient but effective. It wasn't the truck design fault, it was a sloppy manufacturing job.

Bravo3eco, what problems have you had with your Raptor? Anything significant/expensive? I have about 12k miles on my '18 Raptor and have had only minor issues (issues that could be found on most any vehicle). The only odd problem I've had is a faint buzzing noise under the dash on WOT. Haven't been able to nail that down. The sound is so faint that I can't capture it on any recorder I've tried. Hasn't cost me anything though.
