Wanted to share for those near Delray Florida. I just had the entire front including grill and bumper, as well as mirror and pillars wrapped. Morpheus Designs. No seams anywhere. Also due to extremely thick Raptor Decals, they had to be cut around. Amazing work and 10 year protection.
$2400 and 4 days. Xpel is not cheap but the warranty is top notch. The installer makes all the difference.
looks great.. I have had the front of my 17 wrapped with Xpel as well. over 2 years in and the stuff in awesome - good product. and yes INSTALLER makes a huge difference.
Took it back in to add to protection. The rest of the truck is being coated with gtecniq. It is supposed to be better than ceramic coating and has a 9yr warranty. I am still learning the details but do know that only wash with non wax, non detailer supplies. Simple soap and water. Saw the treatment on a Porsche GTS and it is clean....
Most of the coatings that are available today, ceramic, nano or otherwise do a nice job keeping the paint looking good for those who do not want to wash and wax regularly. However no coating beats PPF (paint protection film) when it comes to rock chips, sand blasting and scratches beyond just swirl marks. Oh, and, a 9 yr warranty ?? I never say never but seems hard to believe. Anyway - lets us know what you think after its done. PS - looks like your installer did an awesome job on the XPEL. you should help get his name out there. As you said - installer makes all the difference.
Right, the gtechniq is not for rocks, though they applied it in front over expel. Not 100% what the guarentee is, but they give a registration code which is now just inside my door. It looks awesome clean. And I simply water sprayed off bugs and dirt from camping
pretty good article i found. I dont know these guys so can't swear by their words but seems dialed in. https://exclusivedetail.com/best-ceramic-coating-ceramic-pro-vs-gtechniq-crystal-serum-ultra/ net / net - seems like a good product and combined with the XPEL - looks like your truck will be looking showroom shiny for a long time!
Mine was 1400 ish for mid package, got 15 % off for black friday 2 years ago. High end packages can go for 2500k. But detailer is the key, someone who is reliable and have experience with clay bar, paint correction, high end seal and wax, polishing and buffing. I paid for it, PPF is a bit out of my price range and I only offroad 3 to 4 x a yr. My .02
The team I used just certified in the gtechniq and pitch it as better than ceramic even. There is a 5 yr and 9 yr. I got a deal for using them for expel already. I believe the quoted cost is $1200. Yes, they put it right over the expel also.
