I'd like to hear about any impressions of or experiences with bug shields on a Raptor. I've had them on previous trucks, but not sure how they would look on my '17 Raptor.

Get a clear bra or ceramic and wash it off. Not a fan of bug shields at all

    Update...
Arggg....WeatherTech ordered is a no go.
Something on 2019 hood must have changed.
The push in anchors supplied by weather tech popped (fall) right out and they don’t even send anti-chafe or rubber insulation.
If the anchors did work. With no insulation at the attachment points the normal vibration will just rub the paint underneath.

I added my own stick on insulation having been down this road before. However after screwing with the hood gasket and also discovering the gasket attachments on each end of the hood are not changeable without cutting the gasket....done.

Put back to original. Shield going in trash.

Ive seen a textured one that looks very similar to the textured hood louvres. Was a great match.

Beware of the stick on type. I did it on last Raptor and the tape came off. It became hard and turned to sand paper in the wind. It is difficult to detect as the sound will travel through hood and sound like it's something in your dash or pillar. By then, paint damage is done. FYI, that was the weather tech.

I agree the low profile one doesn’t look bad.
