I took delivery of my 2018 Raptor with the keyless security entry system and 802A accessory package plus others, but I don't believe they matter concerning improving the current alarm system.

I'd like to hear recommendations on exceptional quality alarm accessories or systems and my budget would be a less than a thousand.

This is a cheap add on that adds a little more protection with shock/impact.

I sell this bracket to mount it instead of zip ties like the instructions show.

Also don’t forget about the Ford Pass app for your phone that alerts you to alarm trigger and also lets you arm, lock, unlock, remote start, gps track, etc

Can anyone confirm that that module differs from what is already installed on 2018"s? It already has perimeter security that can be adjusted to High/Low through the console. I thought this was an upgrade for previous model that did not have it. Just trying to conform.

Thank you for the referral. In checking that part number and your link, it seems it fits the F150 for years 2011-2014 (aka part # DL3Z-19A361-A). This may be the correct part for 2017 & 2018 Raptors, see https://www.levittownfordparts.com/...curity-system-ford-perimeter-plus-p-6139.html for further details. As too stratia69's question, I'm going to check my 2018 Ford Raptor to see if it has the high/low adjustment. I purchased mine with the 802A package along with other accessories.

Just ordered my Ford OEM Ford Security System sensor from Fairway Ford (Nate in parts) who was very helpful. Price to CA was $184.95, includes free shipping and they include installation instructions. Link here - https://www.fairwayfordparts.net/oe...g-explorer-super-duty-continental-js7z19a361a

If your Raptor already has remote start capabilities, then you should be able to install this without taking it to the dealership or so I've read and been told by Nate in parts.

My 2018 Raptor includes but is not limited to the 802A accessory package and has remote start, so the part I ordered from Fairway Ford is super easy to install. Install the wiring Y harness into the back of the module with the Data Link Connector (DLC) which is right under the dash on the drivers side. If you're car has remote start you don't need the extra plug that comes with the sensor. I have no idea how you are supposed to install the VSS Module with the included zip ties, none of the holes lined up. When testing the unit per the instructions, wait 20 or 30 seconds after setting the alarm for the first time before hitting the steering wheel to check sensitivity, but mine worked fine with the VSS unit hanging down for the test. I'm going to get some wide velcro and use that to mount the VSS module, however the instructions say "Ensure the tie-strap is routed through the VSS module loopos at opposite corners." If someone has mounted their VSS unit with zip ties, please post. As soon as I install the VSS module with Velcro I'll post pictures.

I couldn't get a straight answer out of my Ford dealer parts guy that the perimeter plus is or is not included in the 2018 Raptor with 802A package. He seemed to be more concerned in voicing his opinion that no level alarm would prevent a break-in. So my frustration with him aside, has this group confirmed that the perimeter plus is not included and therefore a reasonable addition?

Here is the description from the Ford brochure. Don't know whether intrusion sensors are perimeter plus. That term is not mentioned as part of 802a.

    .???
Is the shock/vibration sensor a separate stand alone unit that plugs into either the existing remote start portion or wiring harness ?
Or... are we swapping out the remote start unit already there because the shock/vibration sensor is inside the unit that houses the remote start motherboard ?

The Ford description leads one to believe you are buying another remote start/stop, with shock sensor..?

The shock sensor I purchase was a self-contained unit and plugs into one of the available ports under the dash. Installation was fairly easy.

JS7Z-19A361-A >>> Ford plug & play shock sensor alarm which is NOT included from factory even if you have the highest/most expensive package. You do not need an additional fob or any extra pieces; I did install the extra LED indicator for about $20.
    IMG_20190228_165440.jpg IMG_20190228_165456.jpg

Mounted the security module directly to the trailer brake module (the TB case had alot of room, so I drilled some pilot holes and mounted using small screws). Wired the LED into the handle so it's visible from the driver's window... Pretty simple addition and works well

Edit: this part number is for MY18... 17 is different

nevermind... just ordered parts for my 18 Raptor 802A

ordered the module Ford JS7Z-19A361-A Vehicle Security System to piggyback my current system and add the impact security.

After reading reviews on the ford part LED Ford Genuine DM5Z-19D596-A Vehicle Security System I opted to go with the DEI LED option
    (1) BLUE Super Bright LED w Plug Replacement for most Directed Electronics Systems

The DEI LED has the same connector as the factory ford LED and is lower profile as well as much brighter... should be a direct replacement.
