Just got a nice call from my sales lady at Redlands Ford (she sold me my 2013). Not much info. Just that she expects to get some solid info in a couple of months and sales towards the end of the year. I asked her about pricing and she just said that it depends on their allocation. If they only get a few, then pricing will most likely be above msrp. If they get a large allocation, then the pricing will be very competitive. I had a good experience buying my 2013 from them.

My local Ford dealer is very small. The first two Raptors he ever sold were to me (a 2011 and an early 2012). I paid $500 over invoice for each, I ordered each one. I'd find another dealer. Just my $.02.

I guess I should have mentioned that I paid 500 over invoice at Redlands for my 2013. If they give me the same deal again, I see no reason to go anywhere else. Especially since, the two dealers closer to me were charging 5-10k above sticker.

I'd drive to Redlands for the $500 over invoice (from the San Fernando Valley area). Keep us SoCal guys updated! Obviously get yours while you can at that price first.

Yep, totally worth it. Most of the dealers here in Socal are really greedy. If you go to Redlands, ask for Lax.

Any dealer is just guessing right now. At this point most of them will know less about the truck and its availability than you do.

If you're wondering what price the dealer is going to sell the truck at, I don't see how the dealer is not the best place to ask. It's not like I'm asking them to tell me the engine specifications of the truck.

Point is that if the dealer doesn't know — and he doesn't — then you may as well ask your pet turtle. And since the trucks aren't going to be allocated, the only list they'll put you on at this point is the one titled "Customers Most Likely to Pay Too Much".

haha so if i'm reading you correctly, best to wait to the end of year (maybe Dec 31, lol) and pull the check book out for the best deal instead of going through the order system and paying MSRP or above?

True, the dealer doesn't know right now what they will sell the truck for. However, nobody else will know what any particular dealer will sell the truck for except the dealer themselves. Once they know, they will let me know. As for your comment about "Customers Most Likely to Pay Too Much," that's ridiculous. I paid 500 over invoice for my 2013. I specifically asked them to give me the same deal on the next truck. If anything, they'll put me on the list of "cheap asses who don't want to pay full price." If they don't give me that deal, I'll just go somewhere else.

Besides that, there have been reports from other users who have talked to their dealers and the dealers have already said they will be selling at invoice or 500 above. I'm just passing on info I received from my dealer for anyone who's looking to get a good deal. Redlands Ford sold me my 2013 for 500 above invoice and it looks likely they will do the same for 2017.

Redlands took so many gen 1 orders that exceeded their allocation and left guys waiting 6,7,8 months only to find out they wouldn't get their truck built.
