That was an issue on 2010-2016 ecoboost. The 17+ has the dual wash which eliminated this. No need for a catch can on 17+ ecoboost.
Keep in mind all 17+ Raptor and F150 will require a tune for any catch can installation this is a false myth. the 17+ has dual injection, for reduced soot at cold start. this has nothing to do with recirculating oily crankcase vapors to the intake manifold and valvetrain
Thanks for the replies. Anybody know of a preferred product for a catch can? P.S. Anyone out there going to Raptor Assault 8/9 18?
It's a myth - waste of money same as the cold air intake. Just leave it stock... That way you can use your warranty that you will need.
It is not necessary on these. Not worth the money... Put that towards the aftermarket warranty if you plan to keep after 3yr/36k miles.
Thank you Mr. raptor positive. I already have the extended warranty. Why exactly are you on this forum? you don't own a raptor, you don't like the engine, you know everything about the truck so tell us why are you here mr bravo?
I have been running the UPR catch can for 12,000 miles. I am very happy with it and the amount of oil it consistently catches. http://m.uprproducts.com/ford-f150-billet-oil-catch-can-dual-valve-ecoboost-35-17.html
Looking at getting one, my understanding is there isn’t one for the drivers side because it will throw a code? I’m confused on the benefits of having just one side “clean”.
bravo3eco why are you constantly posting misinformation?? if someone plans to keep their truck for a long time, it would make sense to have a catch can on from day 1...
