Well, over a month with out the truck and still waiting. My Rap sits at the dealer. Spoke with the Tech and he can not re create the condition.:( The Ford Corp engineers have no clue what's causing the condition. They are recommending we change the transmission control module. Here we go throwing parts at the truck without an actual diagnosis. I told the case worker I don't want to keep replacing parts, Give me a new 2018 transmission. Isn't the transmission in whole just a part? I will say a large part, but a part none the less. We'll see what happens.

Well, jD 06 is not the only one unfortunately looks like something to be on the look out for.
Memorial weekend I took 800 miles trip with my family, nothing special interstate 75mph on a cruise control 80% of the time.
Soon as we got back home I noticed strong burning oil smell, looked underneath the truck didn’t really notice anything, next morning my transmission is shifting like someone is rearending me on every shift.
Have appointment for tomorrow in the local DLR

Sorry to hear it. I put over 1900 miles on my 17 this past week and no issues. That brings me up to 22000 miles

Check your temps and transmission fluid levels. When it gets hotter it sprays fluid everywhere. Not sure why it overheated but some people have issues with temps

Alright, just got a call back from the DLR and was told my truck is ready.
They performed some technical bulletin , re-sealed my transmission and engine oil pan. Hopefully no more problems

Ok, latest update, no leak on the transmission found, performed software update, the leak was apparently from the engine. So far so good, haven’t put much miles on it so hopefully no more problems.

Well Gents, here is the update. I have not posted anything for a little time. Because the truck was in 3 or more times for the same problem, and it was out of service for over 30 days, the truck qualified for Lemon Law. Ford Corp reacquired my 2017 ingot silver Raptor. They replaced It with a 2018 magnetic metallic custom order raptor. I picked the new truck up last Wednesday.

Sucks that happened but atleast you got it covered by the Lemon Law. Was about to buy a Silver raptor but I like the Magnetic color to much and will be getting one.

Yes, they were trying. I asked repeatedly for new transmission. Ford Corp would not authorize it. It worked out well though, had to be patient. Ford came through! 2018 Rappy
