    Hey fellow Raptors,

I've had my 2018 Leadfoot Grey, fully loaded (with graphics package) Raptor for 2 weeks now. I took a trip from KY to Indy last weekend and they got 10" of snow. We shredded up the town before the Jamey Johnson concert (so much fun). I'm loving the truck and and would like some feedback on some accessories that I'm thinking about.

    1. I want to install a retractable bed cover. I'm thinking about the BAKFlip MX4 (aluminum matte black) or the Peragon cover in classic black. The BAKFlip folds on top of itself (very easily) and flips up to rest against the back window (not sure how I like that look). The Peragon folds downward and has to start the folding in the front of the bed. I like the look of the Peragon when the bed is fully exposed but I'm concerned that it could be hard to fold if the bed has a lot of "stuff" in the front of it. I like how the BAKFlip folds so easlity and how it doesn't have an exposed lock since the tailgate keeps it secured. I also don't really like the long strap that comes with the Peragon to close it from the tailgate area. Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm open to other products as well.

    2. I definitely want to add plenty of LED lights to the front grill and bumper. I want good quality LED lights with high lumen output so I'm pretty set on Rigid Industries and the D-series cube lights. There are so many choices on different cube lights and beam spreads and lumen packages. I would like to put three LED cubes per side and I'm really considering at least one of them to be a "radiance" light whereby it would have an amber backlight to tie into the parking lights. I think it would make the front of the truck look meaner at night. I want to put a 30" or 40" LED light bar behind the front grill and I'm considering one that has a combo - amber and white light.

Questions: what do you think about the amber backlit LED cubes lights (Rigid radiance pod) and would you recommend any of the cubes to be SAE compliant to be used while driving? The radiance lights have far less lumens in "white light" mode than the D-series cubes. I'm not sure on what type of beam spreads to get either (spot, driving, flood, etc). What type of front grill LED light bar do ya'll like? IMG_1405.JPG IMG_1406.JPG IMG_1442.JPG IMG_1411.JPG

    Thoughts or suggestions??

    Welcome to the club!!!!!

There's plenty of option now on the market so it really depends on what you want to do and why your wanting to do something.

first i'd say get yourself a Forescan account and and a blutooth connector to tap into the trucks software so you can turn on and off features like the fake engine sound and the auto start stop. There's lots of other things to you can do.

I happened to go with some of the JMS plug and play stuff (Boost Max and Peddle Max) These two together will make your truck an different animal and require no reprograming. There's other options out there that are similar i just chose not to want to reprogram my truck as a result.

Bull dog make a nice curved light bar that sits on top of the front bumper. I recommend DO NOT put a light bar on the roof. People think it looks cool but what they learn the hard way that when it raining, snow or dust, the light reflects back and blinds you (was on fire rescue for many years and know this all to well).

Check out the Raptor Lights website, they off and can customize just about any combination of lights for you bumper holes and they just came out with a new set up for controlling all of your lighting options that's better then the toggle switches on the truck.

There's all kinds of stuff i can get into here with you as well as everyone else here has their opinions too. It comes down to what and why and i can make some recomendations from what i've done and learned in the yr and a half that i've had mine.
