Hey there everyone I’ve finally gotten around to looking for a Raptor forum and just signed up. I ordered my loaded Raptor last year and took delivery right at the beginning of winter. It’s my first Ford but not my fist off-road vehicle. Previous vehicles 03 Chevy Silverado that was Linked and center mounted front suspension. 2013 Local motors RallyFighter Both were used as my daily driver. I was one of the off-road guys that always laughed at the Raptors and occasionally refer to em as the Craptor. But that was the first Gen trucks. When I was shopping for a new truck I was going to every dealer test driving the medium duty trucks but wasn’t happy with any of them at all. The suspensions in them were ridiculous. Even going over a speedbump at a decent speed felt like hitting a 2ft rock. None of them had any decent amount of features in the rear seating area. Dodge - the rear seats don’t fold up and there is a support bar from the floor to the front of the seat so not dog freindly nor large boxes or items. Chevy - no air ducts in the back at all & something else but cant remember right now. So while I was at the ford dealership I saw a Raptor and thought why not, let’s take it for a spin & holy crap I was impressed, not only was the trucks suspension better than all the others which was an obvious feature but the seats themselves where cushier and more comfortable. Then after the drive I stayed looking at the details starting in the back & it was obvious that Ford was far superior to the others when it came to thinking of everything. It has a huge flat floor, seats that fold up & split seats at that, air ducts, 12v 5v & 130v outlets and of that wasn’t enough heated rear seats and airbags in the seat belts. That is so far ahead of all the other truck manufacturers. So this former all Chevy guy has been converted into a hybrid Ford/Chevy guy. Ford for the new trucks & Chevy for the older vehicles. This post was way long and if you made it this far thanks for sticking with me and hope I entertained ya enough.
Someday you'll fully covert because you'll realize Ford always has been better, lol. But for now I'll accept a partial convert. Welcome to the club and enjoy that Raptor
Pics from my off-road adventure in my Raptor last weekend. If ya zoom in on this one you can see Las Vegas way off in the distance.
Nice. Some pics its looks white, others it looks almost like the Lead Foot/Silver. I just still can't get to liking the black stock wheels though. Didn't like what Ford did there..
Agreed, I hate Black wheels as well. They show nothing. Never understood why someone would buy expensive wheels that you can’t see any of the details.
