The other night, I started my truck with remote start. I pushed the start/stop button when I got in, and the truck went insane. The dash kept flashing "Service Advance Trac," Collision Warning not Available, the orange wrench icon was lit by the steering wheel, parking brake light was on, and the orange ABS light was on. The parking brake was not engaged, so I set it and released it to no avail. I drove a few hundred yards slowly, turned the car off restarted it with no change. Also, the power steering was sort of working but not normal.

I limped home 2 miles. An hour later, I had to get something out of the truck, so I cranked again just to see what would happen. No problems since then. I contacted dealer, and they said "Sounds like it needed a reset." Is that even an answer? The truck is a 2018 with 3000 miles not sure reset is in order that soon. I would like to know what really happened.

Ya, i do think there's some gremlins in the coding. I've not had your case but a few other random issues that cleared up on their own.

I wired up my lights and regardless of which switch was on or off, different lights would just be on at different intensities. Fixed itself in about 48 hrs and no problems since.

My sync screen has gone out and just plan reboots itself now maybe 3-4 times over the past year. Maybe it's running an update but when there's no warning your like WTF.

Oh and then there's the memory set for my mirrors. Now i must admit that i do have the auto retract enabled on my truck. When i shut my truck off and lock it, the mirrors automatically fold in. When i get back in and start up, my driver mirror never goes back to the memory set location. Dealer can't figure it out and i just have to check the driver mirror every time or hit the memory button every time at start up.

I've had my seat and wheel memory forget what they were supposed to do a few times, but turning the truck off and restarting has so far worked at jogging it's memory. Other than that, it's been fine.

Had mine go insane driving down road. Multiple warnings, and gears shifting off. Then cleared. The problem returned the next day. Ford engineers took 4 weeks, but found issue. Check wiring harnesses under hood. A harness was not in retaining clip from assembly line and was General use and time before it blew out like a rats best and shorted. They swapped the harness and problem solved.

Have them pull the codes, I can almost guarantee its a fried body control module. Hail damaged my truck and they left a seal open on the hood. It was in the rain for a day and I was driving through the middle of Jackson Hole and they truck went insane and threw like 20 codes then shut off and I rolled to a stop with my 5000 lb dead truck missile. Its working like a champ now though after a little fix.
