Damn that sucks. I've had a hard time finding any info on the subject too. I stopped looking after I bumped into a few opinions that it would void the warranty. Don't know how or why or if it's true but got that response more than once.

Seems like some feel that since the G2 is both port and direct inject, the value of a catch can isnt as great. The other side feels like it can't do any harm, only good based on all the crap it pulls out before it re-enters your engine.

There are several threads on the other forums.

IMO, a lot of guys get a little gun shy when they find out they have to remove and drill a hole into the passenger side turbo intake....at least for the RX version.

I haven't gotten my truck yet, but when I do I'm going to look for a good spot to put a can. Apparently there's a spot on the firewall vs. behind the grill on previous years.

Please humor the ignorant, but what is an oil catch can supposed to do?
I'm waiting on my SCREW and the thought of warranty-voiding mods aren't first on the list of "to do's." But I'm still curious to learn.

I'm no expert...just passing on what I've elearned so far.

Although people have made DIY versions at home, the two big names seem to be McNally Electronics (Rx Monster) and UPR.

Explanation on what they are and what they do:

There's a ton of info on the web. Most point toward the benefits of installing one...especially on a twin turbo application such as the G2 Raptor.

I think it makes sense all in all! Asked a bunch of Turbo freaks they explained that its a cheap add on and helps your engine a lot in the future!
