On 10/17/16, I signed a "Preview Order 1013" sheet for a lightning blue, SuperCab. I did not order any graphics, the rear applique, nor the Tech Package. I did add the sprayon bed liner and hard tonneau cover. I read about build dates and window stickers on this site and wonder where I stand on my order. My dealer doesn"t have any info for me. Can someone give me an idea what to expect next?
Others might know more but my understanding is that first step is order getting pulled. It starts as clean unscheduled then gets pulled for s tentative build week then a tentative build date and VIN. You can track this with dealer or by messaging Ford service on Facebook. They are very nice and responsive. Next step is when you get your vehicle sticker via research maniacs. After truck is built you can track through ETIS. Not there yet so I don't know much about that. I have only gotten one notification from dealer. Everything else was on my own from information on the forums.
This is how I understand the process: 1. Order gets pulled for scheduled build. 2. Was given VIN # by my dealer an was given date for build week 10/17/16. 3. Got my door sticker from research maniacs. 4. Called Ford Service by phone and requested info on the truck. They told me the truck was produced and the build date was 10/19/16. They also gave me an ETA to dealer of 11/11/16. 5. The week after getting my door sticker ETIS showed all the details of the truck. 6. Spoke with m contact at the dealer, he told me the ETA is an approximate, it will depend on the rail and transport service for a true ETA. Hope this info helps.
So as someone who has all the info on my truck and been tracking it thru the entire process JD described above the rest is out of our hands and we are unable to track further.At this point I know no other way to track shipment other than going thru your dealer. Spoke to mine last week and he contacted the ford rep. Rep said they hope to start shipping raptors this coming Wednesday but no promises. My build date was 10/28 and expected delivery of 11/15. We shall see..
My dealer moved my nov 21 delivery to an ambiguous end of November date. I bet that little shit wants on truck on his lot for Black Friday traffic I might have to do a drive by and make sure others aren't driving my raptor....errr almost mine
I wouldn't put it past any dealership to do that ! Besides you might be the first to get your ass in trouble for stalking a car lot!!!
Thanks to all members for the ordering info. Based on your replies my only hope is to have the truck before the 2018 models hit the floor.
I am with you! I will pistol whip the fuck out that greasy fat dealer mechanic if I catch his ass in my Beast. My build now is Dec. I hope it takes a week for build and testing before that thing gets on a C-130 to my dealer. What is again, the build time for one of these Panty Droppers?
Hey Chris. Your kids looked stoned!! LOL Ive heard that the build time is 20 hours once it starts down the line at the plant!!
Didn't mean to imply I was going to DEFCON 1, just don't trust those guys. It's built and waiting like most of us. ETIS only tells me what I know, my specs for truck, nothing else I will anxiously wait to hear from you early build guys on delivery updates, I am a week beyond y'all Let's have a fast week and some good news men!!!
Oh man, Just got ahold of my sales rep up here in British Columbia and no Canadian orders have build dates at all. FML. you guys are lucks af.
Hey Chris, I'm in Alberta and I have Vin# and a build date Got this from the dealer Scheduled to Week (Week -of Dec-05-2016) ETA Alberta Dec. 23-29 Ford Dearborn Assembly, MI Etis says Build Date: 30.11.0002 Not sure what that means exactly.
