Chimed in once before, but finally picked up my truck about a month ago. Had to fly to FL and drive her back home to San Diego. Awesome road trip that got me very well acquainted with her. Cruised up through Nashville, Wichita, Vail, Flagstaff, and finally home. Was gonna write up a review of the truck so far, but it seems everyone on here is pretty knowledgeable on all things Raptor, so I'll skip it. She showed 16.2 mpg most of the way back, and that was cruising along at 80-90 a lot of the way. Ended at 15.1 after some fun stuff in Utah and Arizona. Now that I'm back in SoCal, I'm hoping I can find someone who is comfortable and familiar with ForSCAN, as I'd like to do the same thing a lot of you guys have done (mainly, kill the double horn honk, the stop-go, and that other couple of things I can't remember off hand). I'm happy to pay someone, or exchange a print of mine (attached) for their efforts. Lastly, I'd also like to connect with other Raptor folks looking to cruise some trails, jumps, etc. in SoCal. Thanks for reading and in advance for any replies, guys. And please keep the solid info coming! - E
Welcome and AWESOME truck! Looking at the signature on the watercolor, would you be the artist? That's really cool and you'd do well to offer that up here and personalized to the owner's color. I'd be first in line.
Hey, CobraJunkie... thanks for the response and the welcome! Yes, that is my work. It's a sketch I did for a t-shirt idea that will be offered for sale on blipshift in the coming days (it's my avatar/profile pic). I'm happy to offer up a print to whoever would like one, and yeah, not much trouble to make it in the owner's color. BTW, still looking for someone in SoCal that knows how to do the ForSCAN stuff. Curious to kill the fake engine noise and see how that improves the stereo's overall sound. Anyone... anyone... Bueller...???
Wish I could help but I'm on the east coast . I have the OBDLink MX Bluetooth adapter and the NuVision PC tablet (Apples in da house) and it all worked great and pretty straight forward. Tons of info out there on the process.
