So once I registered on the Forscan sight, username and password, they will automatically send me the code I need for an extended license?

Thanks VT got the extended license. On another note, when making changes to the truck it won't hurt anything to have windows down or doors open when writing changes will it?

Just wanted to pass along a big thank you to VT for all the info. You made deciphering the tutorial allot easier. Got the OBDLink MX Bluetooth and everything went very smooth.
Yes, was nervous as hell but had a paper copy of the spreadsheet, which made referencing easier than hopping between screens.
Made notes of original values on sheet and checked off each MOD as I went.

    Auto Start/Stop - OFF
    Auto Fold Mirrors - ON
    Fake Engine Noise - OFF
Heat/Cool Seats on LCD display - ON
    Double Honk - OFF
Secure Idle - ON ( Didn't see any spike in RPM's as mention in forum but will watch it )

I had stereo off so there was only a small POP when I disabled the Fake Engine noise.

    Couple of things I wasn't sure on, that might help others;

When it said turn engine OFF/ON, did it need to be running or just ignition on?
Initial back up , Did you need to back up every single Module or just the ones you plan to make changes to? ( I Did them all , but then saw you could save truck profile before starting. Doesn't this make a back up of all factory settings? )
When I was done making all the changes I saved a new truck profile as Raptor MODS.

Again, Big thanks VT, buy you a cold one if you get north of the border

Engine ON - does not need to be running - I did all my Mods without engine running just in the On position..
The backups are up to you - NO QUESTION you want an initial "factory" backup but if you are making lots of changes I like to back up each time - that way if there was a problem with one and need to go back to the back-up you dont need to redo all your work.

Glad its working for everybody - so much of this stuff should just be in a Menu on the truck for us to choose but OH WELL.

    Be safe Gents!!

    mmmmmmmmm beer....

I no longer own a computer, it's all smart phones and tablets and all Apple products too. So, the OBDLink MX Bluetooth is not recommended for me (not compatible with iOS). I'm considering the OBDLink MX Wi-Fi, does anyone have experience (good or bad) with it?

You will be the first on here to MOD with IOS - please let us know how it goes.... Have spoken to some FR1 forum members that had "issues" with the IOS OBDLink. Not saying it doesnt work but they had reliability issues and staying connected issues.. anyway - good luck and please report back. I can try and help but not sure how similar the 2 platforms are..

I can't do the OBDLink MX Bluetooth, so I don't have a choice. I'll report back my issues/successes with the wifi version.

I'm knee deep now in FORScan. Can someone detail what this change does? DRL - Parking Lights only (stock LEDs only) - ON

I'm looking to keep all the Amber LEDs DRLs on when lights are in auto mode during daytime. Is this the fix?

Not having much luck with ForSCAN today. Previous changes have worked fine but two changes I made today didn't take.

When I shut off the truck, my amber lights stay on for x seconds like this...

I have the lights switch selected to AUTO (all the way CW) and when I start the truck, the amber lights go off. I want them to stay on like the above pic when driving in AUTO light mode. I have the advanced setting for DRLs in the IPC set to ON per the spreadsheet. This is the change I made in ForSCAN.

The other change that I bombed was the Auto Tilt feature for the mirrors when in reverse. I have this feature on my Venza and aware of what it's supposed to do but it didn't stick when I made the change. I select the either mirror and go to reverse and the mirror(s) doesn't tilt. This is the change I made in ForSCAN

Am I doing something wrong? My first attempt for turning off the fake engine noise and auto fold mirrors worked well.
