waxing the stock hood stripes

will it discolor or harm the stock hood stripes on the raptor if i use wax on them? i put after-market matte black stripes on my last f-150 and was instructed by the manufacturer not to wax the stripes.

 

I would stay away from waxing them, just simply go around them with a micro fiber towel, after all one main purpose of the flat finish is to reduce glare when driving.

 

Much less glare when driving.

 

To wax or not to wax, such a dilemma
