Has anyone put on mud flaps yet? I'm on the fence if this would look ok or not. Please share your thoughts and if you have Mud flaps please share a photo thanks.
I saw somehow here did, looks so so from the pics posted. Without you'll really want to Xpel your door handles (if you Xpel your truck). The running boards only protect so much. Being your in MN and you deal with snow you'll want to protect the side of your truck the best you can. The wheels as they are now throw a ton of stuff up the sides. Alot of the aftermarket wheels are coming with an extra inch of offset i've seen too. I've Xpel'd the mirror cap, door handles and rocker panel.
I will have to wait to see some pictures. the weather tech flaps looked fairly low profile so I am hoping they are not so bad. I also run gravel roads in the north woods so don't want it all chipped up.
I got tired of waiting - i mounted up some Gatorbacks - just the fronts.. see my thread Vermont Raptor - new member see page 4 for mud flap install and pics.. any questions happy to help.. yes - husky is working on a Raptor specific - i emailed them - late May (as mentioned above)
I talked to a rep at Husky on 4/27 about flaps and liners. They will be ready sometime in June. I ordered their floor mats. Since there were no responses to my thread on Tailgate Seals, I spoke to a rep at Realtruck. He suggested the Access TrailSeal Kit - good price and least amount of negative feedback. I decided to give it a try - now waiting for package.
thank you for the update - I had been meaning to check back with them.. June huh - that kinda suks.. oh well
Hey VT Since you travel a lot on gravel/dirt roads, do you get dust entering the bed through the tailgate area? If so, have you tried any of the kits designed to seal that area?
i was wondering too when i was doing 100 on dirt roads dust got in thru tailgate bottom seam holes i think. it was a fucking mess. went like 3 feet in. maybe they will make something or can use like that rubber style thing between tailgate and cab sort of rubber gap fill ? but i need something fast too
so Winter is really just ending up here these last few weeks - most of the dirt / gravel roads have been frozen or snow covered since January when i pick up the truck. As mud season subsides and the roads dry out I will report back. That said so far I have not noticed much dust in the bed so far. I'm sure a good sealing tonneau cover helps and maybe the spray-in bed liner is helping a bit too ? Ill let ya know..
i posted another thread for it too, but u will see soon. dust comes up from either the bottom or sides of tailgate gaps. i'm sealed on top with cover and dust got in when going really fast on dirt roads.
