In the past the difference stylewise between the scab and screw never really stood out to me. However, on the Gen2 the screw seems so gangly (same way on just the regular f150). 4 doors would be much more practical for me but I cant get over how good the truck looks as a scab. Anyone else feel like the dimensions are odd on the screw? Something about it just throws me off.
I had a SCREW and would go to a SCAB in a heartbeat. If you're going to do a lot of off-roading, get a SCAB. Driving this thing is like a limo.
i have a screw, i does well when i go over speed bumps at the mall and have to pull into an overly crowded starbucks...rather have a scab though if i were to get another, be it gen 1 or gen 2...did almost pull the tricker on a 10 scab but opted against it.
133 inches vs. 145 inches That's a 12" difference for those of you without a calculator I suspect you'd never know the difference if you could drive them both blindfolded. The most noticeable, non-visual difference might be the turning radius which I'll guess is negligible. I used to own a SuperCab Raptor (Gen I) and it was great until it was parked in a lot and you had to do the "door dance" or when you're letting passengers in or out. There's a reason the SCrew outsells the SCab. By a lot.
New member here... Hello everyone ! I prefer the looks of s-cab but will buy s-crew for practicality & for my family's needs.
Is the length difference completely in the back seat? I remember my screw having a massive back seat area. I need room back there for the kids, wondering if I can get away with the scab as i prefer the shorter truck.
Both have the same bed, so must be entirly in the rear seat. Which is a lot of extra space if you are using it.
There's room back there for the kids but it's not what you're used to with a SCrew. You'll want to check it out thoroughly before you put down your coin for a SCab
With the seats folded up in the SCREW, there is more than enough room. We take our 130lbs and 50lbs dogs with us, pretty much everywhere, and they were completely comfortable!
SCREW for the win!!! I've had both (not Raptors, but other F150's) and there just is no comparison IMHO. The versatility of the SCREW out ways the benefits of a shorter wheelbase off road, for me. I'm not a fulltime off road guy, mostly due to geographics, and I am constantly using all of the dry storage that the longer Raptor offers. Plus, when I am off road, the ride is great due to the added wheel base. I understand that some of the guys that get off road weekly like the SCABS, and honestly, if I lived where I could do that myself, I would probably have one. I just like being able to throw whatever or whoever I want in the back seat and taking off. There, my $,02.........
