yea, i know my dealer had 2 coming in, but no delivery date as of yet. i got my gen 1 from them for about $3500 below sticker. not expecting the same on the RS, but hopefully no adm and i'd be ok with that.

It will be interesting to see pricing on the new truck. My local ford store has F150s 9k off right now, but I cant see those types of deals on the Gen2. I wont pay an adm, but to have something brand new I don't mind MSRP.

agreed, i don't see a discount being applied at all to the raptors. didn't see it in gen 1, won't anticipate it on the gen 2. msrp is my limit, anything beyond i just don't even bother.

MSRP is my goal as well. Just wondering if its possible in the great state of New York. That is the reason I started this thread. I might have to leave the state to get a fair deal. I really cant see myself spending more then 65k. There has to be a cut off and right now thats mine.

MSRP when the '17 Raptors come out later this year? I seriously doubt you will get lucky on that. I do believe Ford will make more Raptors vs. the amount of Gen1 Raptors made so after the initial demand passes MSRP might be possible.

Right now 60k is my limit... spending 110k over a 10 year period is a lot for two Raptors not including the mods I've done or will do.

When you say 60k are you talking before tax and all the other BS or out the door? Trying to figure out if my numbers are realistic.

i'd tend to agree, i think MSRP will be tough the first year, especially if there's no relationship established. though i've heard from a few gen 1 guy interested in gen2 that louisburg ford will still be doing $50 over invoice and team ford in vegas is at MSRP.

either way, i can't justify the expense to the wife. i'll claim "i'm staying stock" and next thing i know i'm 20k in the hole just on mods. i'm already well past that on gen1, not trying to open pandoras box again.

Where did you buy your original raptor from?

You know I didn't even think about the true out the door cost on both until you brought this up so no my figure 110k was just on the cost of the Raptors not including tax/license and in my case, extended warranty.

I think your numbers are close but if you are looking for a fully loaded SCREW in a popular color my bet will be 65k minimum out the door.

Maplecrest Ford in Mendham, originally was MSRP and then I showed them a true car price and they said no problem. I ordered it as they didn't have any on the lot. They also had plenty of allocation left and actually had about 5-6 more roll in after mine. This was in July of 2014 when I picked mine up, ordered 3 months prior.

I was in there a few days ago, pretty sure that's where I will be ordering from. I actually saw your post about it on FRF I think.

cool. yea, those guys are pretty cool. even their service department is relatively mod friendly, let me back in the bay to show them a few things when they were messing with my alignment. i usually deal with brian on the sales side and rodrigo, who i believe is a manager there. he gave me top dollar for my trade and even 3 months later, and something like 3k miles added to my trade, gave me the same price, no questions asked. good guys, any other ford i get i'll get there. i probably won't go gen 2 for at least the first 2 years of production, but i may be looking at getting into an RS.

I contacted a local Ford dealer about ordering a 2017 Raptor. This dealer has F150s with deep (~ $10k) discounts but the gentleman who assisted me stated they have guys from east coast willing to pay $10k over MSRP. I expressed my seriousness. I think he understood that I was quite serious but he was also candid and said it would be difficult to get one for MSRP, at least when they first arrive.

I am going to talk to a few more dealers over the next few weeks but I am totally willing to buy out of state if that means paying invoice plus $xxx.

Can anyone explain how the taxes will work on an out of state purchase? Would I get a temp reg, drive it home and then register and pay the tax at the dmv? Would I still get the tax credit on a trade in?

You'd pay taxes at home. You wouldn't get a tax credit being out-of-state. Sometimes, if it's a neighbor state, they can do everything through your state, but typically you're on your own. So, trade-in to CarMax locally or sell it locally and pocket a few extra bucks to help offset the tax credit.
