Does anyone know if anyone is making fog lights? The stock lighting isn't great on my aging eyes. Thanks
Ford makes a fog light kit for Raptor but price is criminal. Lots of aftermarket options at fraction of price.
Hey Guy, check with ADD OFFROAD. I think they offer SAE fog lights from Rigid Industries. I don't know if they offer for Gen 2 Raptor yet. I know what you mean by aging eyes. My wife's 16 Explorer has horrible lighting. I can't see very far ahead and definitely not when making a turn.
i am interested as well.. im 3 miles up a dirt / gravel road, lots of wild life around. No street lights anywhere for miles and miles. Id say lights are decent. I have a 2013 Ford Edge Sport - lights are weak and brights are shameful. I replaced the HID bulbs in the Edge for the brights- that was better but not great. Dont know why Ford cant figure this out - i have a VW and just sold a Cayenne - when i put those brights on its like DAYTIME.. I'd really like to utilize those openings on the ends of the bumper ..
This is the setup I want too. I don't need over the top light bars and huge steel bumpers. This truck won't see heavy off-roading. I just want to be able to see. I also want it to look factory. It'll give me a reason to use one of those aux switches too. That'll be cool! I'm assuming those switches are all fused with bus terminals ready to wire. The last time I did fog lights they needed a relay and were halogens. I used the hot wire from the low beams to switch a relay so that the fogs would turn off with high beams so it would pass inspection. Low beams on... relay on... fogs on... low beams off... relay off... fogs off. The switch inside the SUV was a master control. Switch off. Fogs off. These are all low wattage LED... do they use relays any more? I'm sure they'll have a wiring diagram for how they like to do it now...
the wires for the the 6 AUX switches are in a bundle under the hood up near the battery. two 20 amp - two 15 amp and two 10's they have black plastic wrapped on the ends. A ford tech gave me the diagram for which color wire is which AUX number. lights should be able to tap right in.. im thinking a set of whites and a set of yellow/ambers - each set on there own switch..
VT Where did you find that kit you posted, I can't find on ADD or rigid sites Curious on options and cost Thanks Go cowboys !!!!
