    Hey Sirs,
I went to 2 dealerships today, one gave me a run around the other was very helpful.
Guess who will get my biz when I make my decision.
I test drove an F150 with the eco boost engine but not a Raptor as non are instock, obviously.

I worked with the sales mgr and he indicated allication schedules and they are 5k over invoice right now when ordering.

While i wasnt Super impressed with the standard ecoboost engine, i imagined that another 100n horses and torque will be a thrill.
Dealer wanted me to consider a Rouch Performance tuned F150 as an alternative.
Suggesting that an SC 8cylinder might meet my needs as well.

Curious if any of you considered it and general thoughts and differences.

Getting the Raptor badge has an appeal to me even if just the novelty of it,but I am open to suggestions and info.

Btw my current car is an Infiniti G37. So going truck is a big change, and if Im changing I want a truck with real balls.
Thanks in advance for your constructive and positive thoughts.

    R

First off welcome to the forum. So I was at the dealership signing my paperwork for my new raptor and they had a Shelby f-150 on the showroom floor. Now there,s a truck with some balls. It was only 105k. Too rich for this poor cracker!

Lol. Yeah for sure. The Roush Performance package would add 22k to any F150 (sans the Raptor) I order.

It really depends on what you want. A Roush can be built from anything from an XL-Limited, so there's more power train options; although the Raptor will have better suspension. I thought about the Roush for a minute, but I definitely want the Raptor. Staying on pavement? Get the Roush. Wanting some unpaved adventures? Go with the Raptor!

Raptor! Roush trucks are nothing but a package that they instal on a normal F-150... how boring!

Raptor all the way brother you won't be disappointed.

Ok, I owned a Rough Mustang, 11 5XR. When I bought it I was stuck between GT500, Boss, and Roush. I decided the power and handling was better with the Roush, which it was. Move 3 years ahead and I go to sell it. Wow, that was hard and painfull. With no book value you can't get the right price unless you are SUPER patient. The car was pheminal so I'm sure the truck would be as well. And they will deal on the price of the Roush.

I'm pretty sure the Roush truck also uses Fox socks, just not as beefy. Probably more than most of us would use. The supercharged 5.0 I'm sure is awesome. The sound will be awesome.

I had this same question myself. I went with the Raptor for resale and because more people know what it is. Yes, I'm vain.

Hope that helps you. If you get the Roush, let's meet up and check out each other's. I couldn't find one to drive here.

My dealer told me it should arrive between the 20th and 21st. So...I should receive it after a 24 week wait from initial ordering to delivery. (Including 12 weeks since the actual build date).
DarthKinetic, that should give you an idea on what the worst case scenario could be if you ordered a Raptor. I've been tapping my foot for half a year, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
