The Interstate was a little wet/dirty on the way home but we got here in one piece. Initial thoughts.... 1. There is ALOT more acceleration and power than in my 14. 2. The gauges and menus are alot different and look better Imo. 3. The ambient lighting is freakin awesome. My girlfriend set it on purple haha. 4. The lane keeping, blind spot warning, blind spot camera are all new to me. Being able to turn the front camera on whenever is also awesome. 5. It is very quiet at an idle. Quieter that gen1 by far. When you get on it it sounds pretty good. I know not everybody will think so but to me it sounds great and sporty. 6. I haven't tried the paddle shifters yet. I'm curious because I've never been around them before. 7. Not sure how I like the smaller mirrors...
Congrats Miles! I ordered the lightning blue also but in a Scab. I've read about so many forum guys getting their trucks, vin numbers, and dealer notifications that I can't stand it anymore. After not bugging my dealer for over a month, I gave him a call today. He told me Ford has not contacted them and has no idea about their first order placed months before mine. No orders have been pulled. I am so disgusted right now that I'm thinking about cancelling and waiting for the new Bronco. I've decided to enter media hibernation from Raptors. I wish you and all the other Forum members the best of luck with their trucks or orders.
I'm sorry to hear that man. I was waiting too and got lucky when they said I could just come get one the allocation trucks they got in. It's basically the same as the one I ordered. Be patient it's worth it. I'm not trying to rub it in by any means. I hope yours shows up any day now.
Keep giving us the pros and cons of gen 1 to 2. My wife's Explorer has the technology package and I'm not such a fan, so I didn't get that. Congrats on getting the Beast! I love mine.
Red tail, have you looked to see if other dealers can get your order built? I find it hard to believe that you're dealer has allocations but can't get any built. As for the Bronco, I love the prototype and wondered if I was making a mistake buying the Raptor. But Auth a supposed 2020 build and no word what it will look like I know I couldn't wait. I've read articles that it may be a sport utility and not the beast most of us want. Sorry to hear your problems, but don't give up.

First thanx to you, Vikes and Diggs for the moral support. I've spent the last few hours calling dealers in a 25 mile area and I'm getting the same story from each - We will be getting Raptors but they are customer ordered. So it sounds like all dealers here in SW PA are pretty much in the same boat - no Raptors in stock. I completed my preview order Oct.17. I'm giving my dealer until April 1 for any news. After that I'll order a regular cab to fit in my garage. Maybe I'll do something crazy like cover it with Linex.
Second impressions... 1. The electric tailgate is pretty cool. 2. the marker lights always get compliments, kinda like the gen1. 3. The electric blue paint is a head turner. 4. The drunk driving..um... I mean the lane assist is pretty cool and makes it seems like a ghost is driving.... 5. If you break up with your girlfriend or get a divorce, you won't be single longer than 5 mins if you show up in this thing.....
