Dealer just called and informed me that Ford kicked back my order because of the bead-lock capable wheels. Does anyone know anything about this?

Not unless they are having product delays... seems a lot of guys ordered the beadlocks though. I like the standard but thought about getting an additional set with the black/beads.

Also, they should not have kicked it back... just not pulled until components were in stock. I would make sure they actually have allocations available and if so, make sure they are not up to funny biz and having a buyer offer more $$$ or something crazy. After all of these guys waiting, I've heard some stories about dealers not honoring their deals. In fact that happened to me with my first order.

First thing we discussed was allocations - I'm in the second group and they had two remaining, so I know it isn't that... Dealer did request more information from Ford - no reply yet. Dealer notified me immediately, so still have some faith that things haven't gone deceptive etc, etc...

I have wondered though, are the factory bead-lock the right choice, or perhaps go aftermarket with KMC or the like????

Just noticed that the wheels on this truck don't match the wheels that are shown in the Media Day photos.... These are all matte black when the Media Vehicles were matte black with a contrasting polish.....

media day wheels had a different trim ring,, another purchase opportunity. I went with the stock wheels and am putting on fuel AM wheels once I get the dam truck.

Like GDog said... these are the same wheels (they are bead-lock capable with a gray trim ring). Media Days like you posted have the FP trim ring that actually is mounted/used. Glad to hear it your order wasn't a non-allocation trick.

I actually like both wheels but went with stock as I like the look a little better and doubt I will be rock climbing anytime soon. I will buy another set of wheels/tires if I do as this will become my daily driver.

hey baba little piece of advice: a lot of us have been here for months now gathering information wherever we can, we have ordered our trucks months ago and are more than a little frustrated with the way ford has handled this whole fucking process. You see we've had to scrape every little tidbit of info on these trucks we could find wherever we could get it! That all being said do your research here!!! There is a ton of info in previous threads that we have gathered. If your too fucking lazy to do that do expect to have everyone do your work for you and provide you with re-hashed old bs info we have all worked our ass off to get. any questions see intell
