Looks like HP/TQ specs are coming in now 450/510

Seen a new thread on FRF looks like ford is updating sites for 450HP and 510 ft.lb and I am pleasantly surprised and just overall excited for this new truck!

 

I'm very happy with those numbers.

Does this mean Gen2 is stronger and possibly faster than Gen1? Sorry for not doing my homework and I'm not trying to start a debate. I'm not an owner yet of either, just looking for basic knowledge. Thank you.

 

411 vs 450...

 

Oh and almost 500 lbs lighter !! i think "faster" is a safe bet..

 

sweet #'s. it will run no doubt. hardest part is keeping tires on it!! LOL

 

The torque number is most important IMO.... To get a big beast like a Raptor moving, it is all about TQ. Oh, and the 3.5 will likely close to double the City MPG of the 6.2. Nice bonus.

 

as a original gen 1 owner since 2010 I feel I'm qualified to speak to the trucks ride and performance. It rides and drives awesome. I live at 8200 ft above sea level here in Colorado and the truck has never let me down. I currently have 173K miles on it and its still going strong. The gen 2 with the hp/tq #'s will be icing on the cake of a already awesome truck!! All I can say is hold on tight to the wheel cuz its gonna be a wild ride boys if you got the stones for it..

 

As a long time owner, can you comment on any suspension maintenance that you have had to do. Have the Fox shocks held up well over time? Are they rebuildable?

I haven't done a thing to the suspension and the fox shocks have held up just fine. Its my understanding that the shocks are rebuild able.

 

Shocks are rebuildable and the intervals will depend on use. 30,000 miles is a good bet if you're using them off road. My guess is the new ones will be similar.

 

It won't be double the MPG. I would expect about 14-16 MPG though.
