Has Ford gotten better at diagnosing the issues and if within warranty is ford pretty good at taking care of the issue or do they try to find anyway out of supplying the fix under warranty of 36,000 miles? I have a 2018 with 18,000 miles and am wondering if I'll be fighting with them to supply the fix under warranty.

Nah, my dealer was cool af I was at 41k and they covered it. Rumor is a new TSB with updated parts in about to come out in Dec or early next yr. Certainly dealer dependent but no reason to worry about warranty issues

No TSB yet, but Ford did update the SSM regarding this issue: added that parts for the repairs are on backorder and assure the customer continuing to use the vehicle is ok and will not affect future drivability or performance. I questioned this last statement through internal channels and Ford and they assured me the concern is cosmetic only, look for TSB soon which will have further direction...

I'm not doing anything regarding the knock at this point, I'd rather not have the engine torn down and replaced with same parts if this isn't a true fix (or truly a concern altogether other than maybe some goofy noise)
