30 Dec 16, just over 2 years old. We celebrated her birthday since she's been such a good girl. Unlike all the other 17 Raptors I guess.

(Note there is sarcasm in that last sentence.)

My story continues. Ford approved the good faith buy-back on my 2017. In sport mode cold, it runs good cause the computer is protecting itself. In sport mode normal temp transmission, it likes to leave the back of the truck in the street. It has been in the shop (combined) for about 6 weeks now for this issue. In total, I have had my truck for 24 months, and it has been in the shop for 3 of those. BUT!!! Raptor lover, I will use the buy back to get a 2019. Just have to pick color.

Moral of the story, if it doesn't seem right guys, keep taking it back and pointing it out. If they cant find it like mine, they will have to make it right with you. Don't say it is good enough cause these trucks should be as awesome as we know they are.

Hey guys another 17 owner here with 20k
My truck out of nowhere developed very loud rattling noises under light acceleration , I thought was the transfer case but after I took it to the DLR was told that the problem is with the phasers, 3 weeks later still no news from the shop, if I didn’t call and check every 3 days or so they will probably never call. All they are telling me is that more time is needed and that is very complicated work ( I haven’t told them that I am master mechanic and currently parts and service director for large DLR group).
Needless to say very disappointed, mainly from the poor suport from the after sales team, I really love my Raptor but I don’t know if ever will be the same. To bad Ford .... I wish you treat the SVT owners with the care they deserve for being such a loyal fans.

Going on 4 weeks, still nothing from the dlr. I called but getting the usual Maybe tomorrow. Tomorrow never came so I called Ford customer service, they will wait for the dealer response and follow up with me in 5 days. Is it me or no one in Ford actually care?
I LOVE my Raptor but I don’t think I will keep it after this, going back to boring but reliable and with excellent service BMW

Ha, I have a BMW nightmare for you. No help from anyone, even accused me of spraying the interior of my car with a hose. You can keep them.

You are right, I guess really depends on the DLR you are dealing with, it makes the whole difference.
However I have a update for the Raptor... after 4 weeks and major engine repair I got it back last night and guess what... the same noise I took it in for still there , it did it soon as I pulled off the dealer lot.
I am really disappointed ( not from the truck), don’t know what to do. Should I take it to another dealer or give it back to the same one since they were in it already

It was BMW USA also telling me it was a dealer problem.

And I would go to the same dealer that just worked on it. They also would know my displeasure.

Sorry to hear you are going through this.

Here is the latest, I picked up my baby last night after the dealer called that is ready, driving home half a mile from the shop it makes the same loud noise. Fast forward today I went back got the service manager and the tech. For a drive and showed them the noise immediately, the tech. goes ooooo, runs to the parts department comes back with 2 inches vacuum hose puts it on in two minutes and the truck is fixed
I didn’t know to cry or laugh.
After 4 weeks at the dealer and $4,000 engine job the problem was a little vacuum line..... no words.
Hey at last I got my Raptor back...so happy.

Unreal, glad its fixed brother. I learned from my Raptor bros so we can teach these lonely poor amateur ford technicians.
