and you are correct . . . i drove it from the dealership right to Belknap Tire in Laconia NH . I had ordered the wheels back in February and they were all mounted ready to go !!!! She had 47 miles on the odometer !!!!! It's an addiction I know !!!!! haha
Hey bud, when you installed this, what did you do with the two bolts that are already there on the inner wheel well? Did you just take them out and replace them with the ones for the mud flap? Starting to get tired with husky. Can't beleave it's taking them so long
Also, why did you mount them so high? Looks like there was room to go a bit lower to the ground? Seems like you cut off part of the mad flap design?
Hey there!! Yeah so 2 things mounting and choice of placement. Mounting was pretty easy - decent size corrosions resistant stainless steel self tapping screws with stainless washers. The fender flares are so big you will NOT hit any sheet metal so dont over tighten, you are just mounting into the plastic. Also dont mount too close to the edge of the fender flare. That said i put a wrench on them from time to time and they have stayed tight. After i realized no sheet metal was involved i bought some black plastic panel retainers - with all the little "fins" - I thought if screws loosen ill swap them out with those push in "rivets" but no need so far. I played with LOTS of placements. Those thigs are heavier than they look so need a buddy to hold them while you step back and determine what look you want. Nothing was perfect but all I really wanted was to protect the door from getting covered in mud and avoid rock chips whenever possible. So placement is a personal thing. I felt like they looked a little silly hanging down too far and I also didnt want them getting in the way. Also pretty good idea to put a small Level on the outside edge of the mud flap to make sure you got them "square" - leaning in or out makes them look funny.. So after 3 months and at least 3 or 4k more miles all is good. I dont think ill replace them unless something really slick comes out. NEED WHEEL WELL LINERS - HUSKY is again taking their sweet ass time on that.. Good luck.
