I know, been silent for 6 months and out of nowhere, 2 posts in 6 hours!

Anyway, I was out cruising checking out the damage from last night's storm - my truck is dogging. It actually feels like a normal F150 right now. So I wanted to check the throttle response. Popped it into neutral and floored it. noticed something I never knew. Got home, put the truck in Park and floored it again.

So - is everyones truck throttle limited to 3800 RPMs? In N or P the truck will not engage the turbos and stop at 3800 RPM's.

    Normal? not normal?

Edit: While driving I know the turbos work, etc.

Yup, you've been quiet. We all just figured you were out hunting wabbits.

No idea on this one but can check most likely in the morning when i'm out.

I wouldn't be surprised though to find out that's a normal safety setting. Why would you need to rev you motor above that in neutral or Park? But hey, what the hell do i know......

It's normal, that's our launch control. Just put it in nuetral then drop it in drive and away you go. :Get him!:

    I'm kidding of course.

Well.... Nexy-sometimes I wonder what the hell your thinkin while you're on walkabout huntin' wabbits. Did you forget that revving an unloaded engine can create a grenade? The factory puts safegaurds like this in place for a reason.....

Hahahha! I know. Been busy. I like food and I like shooting - so I found an activity where I shoot at food!

Just thought it was weird since it is so far from red line.

Or maybe your baby is trying to get some attention. Don't listen to Vikes over there...that beast might end up in the living room from the garage.
