So some of you probably already knew the stock tips were SS but I didn’t. My problem is the finish is already sucking on mine. As I was sanding them to repaint I realized my afternoon went from painting to polishing.
So after wet sanding and S A N D I N G I finished with 1000 grit and ended up with a brushed finish. Next I will polish them a bit more (my arms are a little tired) and blue them with a torch. I will keep you updated. Promise.
This is some community we have here. You might be my neighbor and I bet you wouldn’t be like this at the mailbox when we meet. I will still wave when I see you on the road. What exactly threatened you about this post?
merely stating my opinion. as for the mailbox meeting you mentioned if we have opposing opinions I'm sure we could share them in a civil manner without hurting feelings. I'll still wave to you neighbor. threatened by your post? really?? never happen
in addition this forum shares different opinions, styles and viewpoints all the time. its an open forum
Sensitive jaws? I like them black to, but I'm not saying your dumb for liking them shiny. And I wouldn't say G was saying that either.
I guess I just like to keep my comments constructive, but I guess that’s not the way things go here after looking at the rest of the posts. I would like to think of it as a community of friends having a friendly chat and sharing ideas. Call me old fashioned. It’s ok I’m done here. I feel the vibe.
Agree - if they go out the back, keep them black. I am not sure what Ford was thinking with having a rear-exit exhaust though. That fad has come and gone... thankfully. The exhaust exit style and location on the 2010-2014 SVT Raptor was great. On another forum, there are many that have removed the rear exit and have done different variations of exit on the side behind the rear wheel.
