Ok It had to only be a matter of time before a cup holder post came up, so here it is: this morning I pulled the front cup holder mat up. There is a little hidden compartment in it. It doesnt fit the key. So what the heck is it for? There is not one in the rear cup holder, just the front one. I really thought it was the key programmer holder, but like I said it does not fit a key in it.
I think that is what it is for. I have a key cover on my key so maybe it just will not fit. (I pulled the mat up from the other key programmer location and there was no slot for it there.
I saw something about that in the owners manual. It was a picture of the key inserted into the front cup holder, but I didn't read that section at the time.
