How is the Ford Sony sound system? I currently own a Titan with a pseudo Rockford Fostgate factory system which is pretty decent. Just curious how the Ford audio will be if my truck ever gets built. Lol

I used to have amped JL audio speakers all the way around with 2 ten inch subs in my Dodge Charger. When I got my f150 in 2013 it had the Sony sound system. I elected to keep the speakers and replace the stock sub with two small JL box subs under the seats in the back. Those sound great. Much better than the stock sub. The Sony speakers don't come close to the loudness and crispness at high volumes compared to the JL system, however it sounds plenty good enough compared to the cost of replacing all the speakers and adding an amp. Here's a pic of the subs I added to the back. They've been in there for 3 years now.

I have a 13 FX4 with the Sony system and a 16 Explorer with the Sony system. I'm happy with both of them. But I would have loved to hear how the kicker sub is in the new Raptor but I got the 802 package.

My understanding is that the 802A does include the Sony Audio+Kicker sub.

My salesman said the Sony system has a Sony sub. I find it odd that Ford is offering 2 different subs but stranger things happen in the auto industry.

The Sony system is not compatible with the Kicker Sub.

Yeah I guess I'm confused about this one too. When you build it on the Ford website it wont let you have the Kicker and 802 package both selected.
