We know the Eco boost is a great truck to tow with, but I've yet to hear any #'s on what the tow capacity will be on the Gen 2 Raptor's. Anyone know or want to venture a guess?
8000lbs is my guess. I do not imagine that the new raptor will have any different view point from Ford when it comes to towing.
Guessing somewhere between 9,000-9,500. The Raptors suspension will no doubt hamper the towing capability, it's just a matter of how much.
I'd expect it to be similar to the Gen 1, but we won't know more until they release some official information.
My guess would be 8050 lbs. Just a shade better than the Gen 1...... But that's just speculation on my part.
I don't expect much, if any, difference from the Gen I to the Gen II regarding towing and Screw vs. Scab:
the Gen 2 has more torque so should be able to pull easy but the set up will hold it back unless that is why they did the reverse shock in the back.
Hey Guys - do we have any new info here on towing capacity ? or is Ford hiding these along with the HP/TQ numbers ?
Correct ~ No formal numbers yet. Ford tends to make their new announcements the first of each month. I'm assuming we'll see HP/Torque and Towing numbers the first week of September
