So I'm impatiently waiting for my Raptor to be built and delivered. My completion / build date was 5/9/2018. Last night my phone blows up with texts showing me that Ford has stopped all production on the F150 line due to a fire at a suppliers plant. "The Dearborn MI plant will cease production after second shift on 5/9/2018" GREAT the same day my truck is supposed to be completed...All night crossing my fingers... Called this morning to the SVT order info line and happy to report my Raptor was completed at Midnight on 5/9/2018 (the night before the shutdown whew)...Is now at the body shop (their terms) for bedliner, then will return to Dearborn to be loaded and shipped! ETA 5/24 - 5/30 to my dealer here in FL... Side note the supplier fire was at a magnesium parts manufacturer, main plant was a total loss. The company stated that they hope to "rebuild in the next 4 months"...Wow
I hit ford performance chat line up yesterday. Build date listed as 5/20 with ETA 5/30 to 6/5. Hope this holds and does not get delayed.
If you indeed get that truck by that date will be a miracle! Raptor is a great truck. Ford’s ability to deliver on time has never been their strong point. Fingers crossed here.
Ford plant back up,was on Fox News this morning, had to relocate die to England from Ohio.line is now back up.
Mine was built in the Dearborn plant 7/19/2018 so all the issues with the plant must have gotten taken care of. There's no stopping the Raptor!
