How does the port injection system work on the Raptor?

Is it injecting all time? Idle, through all rpms?

Or does it inject some in certain areas when needed?

Would love to know info on this, I know its used to clean the valves for carbon and what not but just wondering if its used all the time

port injection is used for cold start and supplementary fueling in boost. DI has a tremendous amount of soot (particulate) emissions during cold start. For performance enthusiasts, this is a very good thing :)

The biggest benefit of adding port injection on a Direct injection engine is it keeps the back side of the intake valves clean & not getting carbon buildup.
In the near future having both DI & PI will save people $ seeking more power by not having to purchase larger injectors.
