I was looking under the truck tonight and noticed all this black grease everywhere. I also noticed the bottom two ball joints where not flush at the top with the lower control arm. Almost a quarter inch popping towards the hood. Is this normal? Here’s a couple pics.

First if your not hearing any noise (especially clicking) and not finding some sort of cut in your CV boot there, i would go power wash the area clean and then monitor.

My first reaction would be to think CV boot is leaking out the grease, but after inspecting the CV boot and not finding a cut then i would think you picked up something while driving, it hit the axel and then got flung around.
