I believe it's the low beam headlight only, no amber lights at all....I just tried mine and looking in reflections off other vehicles . Good way to save on all yellow / amber lights

That picture is technically not the day time running lights!
To set the day time running lights you have to go to your settings, Vehicle, Lighting, Daytime lights then choose on or off. If you choose on your daytime running lights will come on when you have your light setting set on Auto.
The lights that come one are your Low Beam Lights!
I know it makes no sense right!! I played with it for hours trying to get the Amber outline lines to come on! It only makes sense that they would be the ones that come on as daytime running lights, Like all the other new vehicles on the road now a days.
To get the Amber outline lights on you have to set your lights to the setting right after off! But be careful! They do not automatically turn off when you turn off your truck! or On when set in the auto setting. I had a couple of times I came back out to my truck and saw that I left the lights on!
I think the reason Ford doesn't use the Amber lights as the daytime lights is because it might interfere with the blinker? making it a potential hazard?
I'm pretty sure the new 2018 model will have the feature were the amber (or white now?) lights will turn off on the side that you are using the blinker when active! The Raptors are known for having cool lighting, you would think their daytime running lights would also be coolest around?

Agreed, you would think they would have something really cool. Thanks for clarifying

I used ForSCAN to have the lights pictured on all of the time the truck is running and in gear.

Daytime running lights come on when Light Knob is in auto and the vehicle is in anything but Park! The lights here are the low beam lights without non of the LED or Amber lights in the front!

I used forscan to keep the Front Amber and all around LEDS ON as Daytime running lights! No more low beam DRL!

Can you tell me the location of this in the Forescan file and what it needs to be changed to?

There's a great discussion on FORScan here

    ...and tutorial here

You have to invest in some hardware but well worth it.
