    I used the RPG adjustable
collar at mid height. I think the truck is a bit slower off the line and definitely gets a bit worse gas mileage. The tires are slightly louder but not overwhelming. My wife thinks it is a bit stiffer now.

How the ride vs. stock... Great! I love this set up.

There is not that cushion feel you get with the 17" wheel and big sidewalls in the OEM set up, and the ride / cornering is definitely tighter (as expected with bigger wheel and less sidewall. Front RPG leveling kit also had something to do with this.

If I was a die hard off-roader... I would have stuck with 17s for that extra off-road cushion (as designed by Ford), but as 70%+ of my driving is on-road with a few monthly runs to play in the mud the 20" wheel (Vorsteiner) has been the perfect fit. Life is a compromise... so was this, but the benefits appear have been worth it. Will say the Vorsteiner was a $$ wheel, but I just could not shake how much I liked the look.

Nitto Ridge Grappler... honestly I was VERY skeptical as I have always been a BFG guy. However my local shop as well as many online posts clearly indicated that BFG was having some real issues with the KO2 lately (balancing problems). My shop flat out stopped selling them as they had so many after sale issues. So I went with the Nitto. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER... these are great. Great quite ride on-road, aggressive looks, killer traction off-road, so far great wear (only have about 5k miles on them).

    Back to BBKs...

Does anyone have any experience with RackingBrake (RB) on their Gen2 or otherwise?

Looking to pull the trigger on a BBK for my Gen2 and these guys popped up as a last minute option to Wilwood, Alcon, and R1 Concepts.

Looks like they have cool "tech" (at least on paper)
    - Concentric rotor vane design
    - Center Mount rotor design (claim better airflow/cooling)
    - Open hole slotted face vs. slotted or drilled.
    - Iron ring inside alum rear rotor hat to give weight reduction but still work with OEM manual parking brake

Also appears they have put the extra cost in to the product to make it more durable
    - Integrated Piston Dust seals vs. slap on boots or no dust seals at all on others
    - True hard anodized caliper finish option vs. painted, powder coated or std anodized
    - High carbon rotors with claim of Brinell hardness of 185-215 (much harder than others = better wear life and damage resistance)
    - Pad springs to minimize pad movement and noise

Looks like these guys have been a playing in the BMW, Porsche, and Nissan GTR game for awhile with many good posts about solid performance on road and with light-med track duty (track days). Similar to R1.

Big question is that cool tech (especially on paper) does not always directly correlate to great implementation.

My thought/hope is that this could be a nice fit between a very purpose built off-road kit like Alcon, and some of the other more road-centric kits like R1 (my opinion only) offering a nice compromise between bigger wheel/rotor options and a more durable design that can hold up to some off-road use.

Spoke to RB briefly and they are pitching a 390mm (6piston) front, and 380mm (4 position) kit. Kit seems new... very new :-/

Again it is all in the implementation... you can have a bunch of cool components but that does not make a Gen2 Raptor BBK that will be easy to install and work reliably on a 6,000 pound brick with 20" wheels, big heavy 35" tires, high center of gravity, and a lot more HP now after a tune (slightly different than a BMW 3series on track day).

Anybody with any real experience with RB? Not sure I want to be the Guinea Pig (at least without some assurance of a positive outcome), but the promise of what it "could deliver" has my attention.

    Thanks

I haven't seen pics of your truck yet. Post them up when you can.

Long-term update. Settled on a BBK upgrade to my 2018. Very happy.
I was an early adopter of Racing Brake (RB) on the Gen2 Raptor. Warren at RB worked with me through the entire process and made EVERYTHING right. Outstanding customer service and dedication to perfection... could not have asked for more. The F 400mm +R 390mm BBK (caliper and rotors) is HUGE and looks amazing on my Raptor even with 20" Vorsteiner wheels and 35s. I selected this kit as it simply offered a very unique value proposition not available elsewhere. IMO RB was a much better option than Alcon or Baer (very heavy kits with lesser capabilities and rotor size options), a better price/performance option than Wilwood, MUCH better quality than some other heavily advertised and comparably priced brands, and a bargain compared to Brembo (that I would have stressed out over taking off-road). IMHO RB provides a comparable if not better build quality than most of the big-name brand BBK manufactures and is a clear price/performance leader for the Raptor. RB uniquely combines a VERY SMART and bulletproof design from caliper construction/finish, floating hats/roators, and the unique drilled/slotted rotor design along with exceptional performance and durability. I have run these brakes now for 40k miles... NO ISSUES and 110% satisfied. Some initial squeal under light braking (has now subsided), no rust, a bit more brake dust vs. stock but expected given more aggressive pads (but not bad), but most of all noticeable and GREATLY improved stopping power with shorter stops (have not officially measured but clearly noticeable) along with NO FADE whatsoever under hard braking or towing my 6,500 lb boat. I also replaced all 6 Raptor brake lines with SS, and went with a high temp racing fluid. The overall result was a much firmer and higher pedal. For my largely street driving (with tune) along with occasional off-road use this was perfect and greatly preferred over the soft (spongey) and deep stock pedal feel/set up. I could not be happier with my purchase, RB's support, and now proven long-term performance of RB and this product. 100% worth the investment!!!
