I have a 2018 Raptor, truck has been at the Dealership as they can’t find the issue for the rough idle. Anyone else having this issue? At the moment the truck sounds like a diesel. Dealership thought it maybe issue with the injectors. 9k the issue happens when the engine is warm and cold....
Just heard back from the dealership, it only took them a week. Possible reason for the noise is a slack timing chain. Fingers crossed this is the problem I'll keep this thread updated as and when I hear.
That sounds like fishy to me, unless the tensioner let go, in which case the thing would sound like a bucket 'o' bolts. Does it smooth out above idle?
Update from Ford Motor Co, they are authorizing the replacement of the VCT's whatever they might be! Timing chain was slack.
